The Thundershirt – It's Like Giving Your Dog A Hug

And it’s not just for thunder, although the inventor was inspired because his own dog was afraid of thunderstorms. The Thundershirt is a really good solution for all kinds of dog anxieties.

The Thundershirt is made from a durable stretchy fabric and when on your dog provides snug and comforting support. One of our staff says that it’s like giving your dog a hug. It provides gentle pressure, which is very calming, in the same way that swaddling comforts newborn babies. It’s been proven effective for things like:

dog wearing The Thundershirt
• problem barking
• separation anxiety
• leash pulling
• travel anxiety
• fear of fireworks

The Thundershirt is drug free and works right away. It’s easy to put on and take off, and it’s comfortable to wear for extended periods. It comes in a range of sizes to fit most dogs. It’s a whole new concept for helping dogs deal with things in the world that make them anxious, and perhaps it’s worth considering for your dog.

You can find more information about the Thundershirt here or come in to A Pet’s Life and get good advice from any of our staff.
